"Traffic" at Hunter College

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZK87cQf6JDc

For our video haiku collective poem, we captured brief instances around the Hunter campus that represent a form of traffic. Each shot, about 10 seconds in length, shows the movement of people or things, not necessarily in high volume, but mostly going in a forward motion or progression. Traffic can be the crowding of ideas, too, as shown by the shot of overlapping flyers and advertisements on the walls. Traffic can tell us to stop or to go, as represented by the short shot of the electronic entrances we swipe our ID cards through several times a day. Working as a group, we each had different individual ideas about what traffic meant to us, and together they work well to create a collaborative message.
